In this post we can discuss the official regulation about the dorm
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In the page 43 of the "GUIDEBOOK FOR THE YEAR 2006 KOREAN GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP STUDENTS" says as follows:

Section II, Daily Life
1. Accommodation
Page 43

"(1) International House: You are supposed to stay at the University dormitory in principle. However, before taking a degree course, say, while taking a Korean language course, you are allowed to stay at the NIIED dormitory (Int'l House I, II); after entering a graduate school, you should move to the University dormitory."

Also the "ORIENTATION" booklet of August 23, 2006 says this about dormitory:

(2) Residence Period
- The maximum period of residence in I.H. is one year; in one year or after getting admission from a graduate school and entering it, students are obliged to move out. But 6-month extension is possible under unavoidable circumstances; the student should get permission from the supervisor by submitting an application for extension of the period of residence. (Application period for extension falls on Dec. 1-15 or Jun. 1-15)
